I am writing a letter to a publisher about a childrens book. Should I use a fake name bc if they dont like it then I am going to send a letter to all different publishers.

No, I would use your real name. That way, they'll know that you're being honest and that might make them pay attention.

Use a real name. But remember, if your publisher takes the story you may not be able to distribute it including to your friends. Because the publisher will buy the rights to it so if you'd like someone to read it over you may want to do that now.
Also keep in mind it's not always free to get published, and can cost money. So be pretty sure that you think this book would sell.
