My Third Poem

Kinda weird...

I'll share anyway:

Why are you here?
It's the story of the rose with thorns,
they say the pessimist, see the thorns
and the optimist, see the rose
least we ask who sees them both?
in all it's entirety
the rose is beautiful to look at
but warns with thorns
not to take
Where are the people who see them both?
the whole image
the entire rose
or is this wrong?
to view this way
must one pick to see it as beautiful
or should they pick to see the thorns?
If to stop for a moment they might see
the rose for some and the thorns for the others
If viewed once again might they see the thorns,
and could the rose be seen?

This one reminded me of the famous Shakespearian line:
"A rose by any other name smells just as sweet."

You really are on a roll. I wish I could crank out poems just as easily.

I don't know something about it is easy, I'm not trying to write poems.
I'll be doing something else and decide I better write it down when it comes to mind.
